Bethan Tovey-Walsh

This website mainly relates to my prior work as a college lecturer in English language and literature. For my current projects, please visit LinguaCelta.

I was educated at Somerville and St. John's Colleges, Oxford, where I studied for a BA in English Language and Literature, a MSt in Medieval English, and a DPhil in Old English literature, which I completed in 2009. From 2007-2010 I taught as a College Lecturer for a number of Oxford Colleges, including Magdalen, Corpus Christi, and Christ Church, specializing in the history of the English language, and in medieval English literature. I then worked as a Researcher on the Oxford English Dictionary, before moving into the Content Operations division as an XML Content Architect.

I am now a PhD student at Swansea University, studying code-mixing in Welsh-English bilinguals, and working with cryptic crossword markup in my spare time.

I'm @linguacelta on Twitter.
